Overview

Importing wholesale fragrances from the United Arab Emirates requires understanding a specific set of commercial, regulatory, and logistical frameworks. This guide consolidates everything verified importers need to begin their first master carton purchase from Dubai and Ajman Free Zones.

Minimum Order Quantities (MOQ)

All Arabesque Perfumes wholesale export allocations are calculated per master carton:

  • Standard Master Carton MOQ: 1 master carton (typically 6 × 100ml units per inner box × 4 inner boxes = 24 units).
  • Pallet Allocation MOQ: 20 master cartons minimum for sea freight LCL or consolidated air cargo.
  • Full Container Load (FCL): Available from 480 master cartons (20ft DRY climate-controlled container).

HS Code Classification: 3303.00

All authentic perfume products exported from the UAE fall strictly under Harmonized System Code 3303.00:

HS 3303.00 — Perfumes and toilet waters, whether or not containing any quantity of alcohol.

This classification must appear accurately on your commercial invoice, packing list, air waybill (AWB), and Chamber of Commerce Certificate of Origin.

Incoterms 2020: CIF vs. FOB

We support two primary Incoterms for international fragrance exports:

  • CIF (Cost, Insurance & Freight): Arabesque Perfumes manages freight booking, marine/air insurance, and dispatch to your named port of entry. Recommended for first-time buyers.
  • FOB (Free On Board — Dubai / Ajman): You nominate your preferred freight forwarder and take custody once cargo passes ship/aircraft rail at UAE hub. Recommended for established importers with existing logistics contracts.

IATA UN 1266 Class 3 DGR Air Cargo

Alcohol-based Eau de Parfum and Extrait de Parfum formulations are classified as Dangerous Goods (DGR) under international aviation law:

  • UN Number: UN 1266
  • Proper Shipping Name: Perfumery Products with Flammable Solvents
  • Class: Class 3 (Flammable Liquid)
  • Packing Group: PG II or PG III
  • Flash Point: Between +23°C and +60°C

All export shipments are packed in UN-certified fiberboard outer boxes with Dangerous Goods Declarations (DGD) and Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS) verified prior to airport transfer.

Corporate Payment Terms & Banking

  • Wire Transfer (SWIFT TT): 100% advance payment against official Commercial Proforma Invoice.
  • Settlement Currencies: USD ($) or AED (د.إ) directly to our licensed corporate account.
  • Zero-Rated Export VAT: Export sales dispatched outside the GCC are 0% VAT rated under UAE Federal Tax Authority rules, provided clean bill of lading/export proof is retained.

Official UAE Chamber Certificate of Origin

Every commercial export consignment is issued a notarized Certificate of Origin (COO) by the UAE Chamber of Commerce, certifying genuine factory manufacture and allowing preferential customs tariffs in eligible destination jurisdictions.
